Job summary

Quantum Care Hertford is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator to plan and run engaging resident activities, ensuring activities meet physical, emotional and cognitive needs while promoting dignity and person-centred care.

No prior care experience is required; full induction and ongoing training will be provided. The role includes weekend and bank holiday shifts in a supportive, values-driven workplace with DBS checks and staff benefits.

  • Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activities for residents.

  • Encourage residents to pursue hobbies, interests and personal goals.
  • Create a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Support special events, celebrations, themed days and seasonal activities.
  • Ensure activities comply with health, safety and safeguarding policies.
  • Promote dignity, respect and person-centred care at all times.
  • No prior care experience required; full training provided.
  • Care for older people with compassion to meet their needs.

  • Ensure all activities comply with health, safety and safeguarding policies.
  • Promote dignity, respect, choice and person-centred care at all times.
    It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
  • You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
  • Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
  • Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
  • You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
  • Have good computer skills, An Overseas Police Check/ Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 Months or more, spent a significant period overseas, or worked abroad in a position of trust. This will be in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
