Job summary

Colten Care's Castle View in Dorchester is seeking an Activities and Music Organiser to coordinate engaging events for residents, including musical activities, singing, theatre and games, with support from a caring team.

You will lead daily activity sessions, invite residents to coffee mornings and events, and help make each activity a warm, welcoming experience.

This role requires flexible early and late shifts with weekend rotation and offers induction and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Team player with caring and patient attitude.
  • Confident in front of groups and one-to-one activities.
  • Experience in theatre, music, or performance is a plus.

  • Coordinate activities such as musical events, group singing, acting, games in the garden, minibus trips or quizzes.
  • Support work within the community, inviting people to coffee mornings, fayres and functions.
  • Work early and late shifts on a rota basis including alternate weekends.

What would your day look like?

Every day we have a variety of activities on offer to our residents. You would be coordinating activities such as musical events, group singing, acting, games in the garden, minibus trips or quizzes, and obviously incorporating some of your own flare!

With the team you'll support work within the community, inviting people to our coffee mornings, fayres and functions, helping make these events a success. Seeing the immediate positive reaction of our residents is the best feeling!

What we're looking for

It's simple really, our resident's well-being is of great importance, and what's better than sharing smiles and laughter to brighten everyone’s day!

So you need to be a team player with a caring and patient attitude, that feels confident in front of groups and one-to-one activities.

If you have a background in theatre, music, or performance, this is the job for you.
