Job summary

Maples Care Home in Bexleyheath is seeking an Activities Lead to develop and deliver a high quality, person-centred activities programme. You will enhance wellbeing, promote independence and create a positive, stimulating environment.

You will plan and lead both group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs, including those living with dementia. You will work with the Home Manager to ensure activities are well organised and aligned with care plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident, creative and proactive approach
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a high quality, person-centred activities programme
• Plan and lead group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs
• Build strong relationships to deliver meaningful, inclusive activities
• Coordinate with Home Manager to align activities with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate records and continuously review and improve the programme
