Job summary

St George's Lodge, Worthing, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to join SDR's team. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of activities for our 26 residents, encouraging social interaction, creativity, movement and independence, while tailoring to individual interests.

The role is permanent, part-time, 20 hours per week at £13.70 per hour. Experience in a similar role is desirable; a DBS check will be required and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Activities Coordinator or similar is desirable.
• Able to plan activities independently and adapt to residents' needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS check and rights to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents.
• Encourage participation in social, creative and physical activities.

Salary: £13.70 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility around start and finish times depending on the needs of our residents

SDR are looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our team at St George's Lodge, a 26-bed residential care home in Worthing.

As Activities Coordinator, you will play an important role in creating a positive and engaging environment for our residents. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that encourages social interaction, creativity, movement and independence, while taking into account individual interests, abilities and preferences.

This is a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to residents' day-to-day lives.

What you'll be doing

Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents

Encourage residents to take part in social, creative and physical activities

Develop activities around residents' individual interests, abilities and preferences

Work closely with the care team to ensure activities are person-centred and meaningful

Organise seasonal celebrations, special events and group activities

Keep appropriate records of activities and participation

Create a welcoming, stimulating and safe environment within the home

Who we're looking for

Previous experience as an Activities Coordinator or in a similar role would be desirable.
