Join Adel Square Care Home and Help Make Every Day Matter

At Adel Square Care Home, part of the St Mary's Care Group, we believe that great care is about more than meeting practical needs. It's about helping people feel valued, connected, and able to enjoy each day to the fullest.

Our beautiful 86-bed home in North Leeds provides residential, dementia, and respite care in a warm and welcoming environment. We understand that wellbeing comes from meaningful relationships, opportunities to stay engaged, and the freedom to continue doing the things that bring joy and purpose to life.

That's why we're looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Wellbeing Lead to join our team. This is a rewarding role for someone who loves bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and making a genuine difference to the lives of older people.

If you're passionate about helping others live well and want to be part of a team where kindness, dignity, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Wellbeing Lead, you'll be responsible for creating a varied and engaging programme of activities that promotes physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing.

Working closely with residents, families, and colleagues, you'll ensure every individual has opportunities to remain active, connected, and involved in meaningful experiences that reflect their interests, hobbies, and life stories.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering a diverse programme of meaningful activities tailored to individual interests and abilities.
  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and vibrant environment where residents feel valued and engaged.
  • Supporting residents to maintain lifelong hobbies and discover new interests and experiences.
  • Organising social events, themed celebrations, entertainment, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Coordinating outings and excursions that promote independence, enjoyment, and connection.
  • Building positive relationships with residents and their families to understand what matters most to them.
  • Encouraging participation while respecting individual choice and preferences.
  • Working alongside care colleagues to support residents' overall wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Developing links with local groups, schools, volunteers, and community organisations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and evaluating activities to ensure they remain meaningful and person-centred.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who:

  • Has a warm, friendly, and positive personality.
  • Is creative, energetic, and full of ideas.
  • Enjoys building relationships and engaging with people from all walks of life.
  • Is organised and confident planning activities and events.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is passionate about improving the lives of older people.
  • Can motivate and encourage participation in a sensitive and inclusive way.
  • Is flexible and able to work weekends as part of the role.
  • Has previous experience in activities, wellbeing, care, hospitality, education, community engagement, or a similar people-focused role (desirable but not essential).

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a kind heart, a positive outlook, and a genuine desire to help people enjoy life and create meaningful memories.

What We Offer

At St Mary's Care Group, we know that our people are our greatest asset. When you join us, you'll become part of a supportive and welcoming team that values your ideas, celebrates your successes, and encourages your professional growth.

In return, you'll receive:

  • A friendly, supportive, and welcoming workplace.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Opportunities for career progression within a growing care group.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference to residents' lives every day.
  • A rewarding role where no two days are the same.
