Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Activities Coordinator - Maternity Cover at Victory Care Home in Chatham. The role is 30 hours per week, full-time, to March 2027, aimed at creating joyful moments for residents through creativity and engagement.

You will plan activities, arrange events, coordinate entertainers, and support independence while working with a warm team in a dementia care environment.

Qualifications

• 12 months right to work in the UK is required.
• Maternity cover with 30 hours per week until March 2027.
• Understanding of Dementia care is needed.
• Warm, creative, people-focused personality.
• Outgoing and able to work independently and with residents and the team.

Responsibilities

• Bring energy, creativity and fun into daily life for residents.
• Plan engaging activities, games, quizzes, crafts and one-to-one moments.
• Organise events like BBQs and Christmas parties.
• Arrange visits from entertainers and local businesses.
• Support movement and independence through fun physical activities.
• Lead social outings and in-home activities for all abilities.

All you need is:

• A minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK
• Maternity cover with the availability to commit to 30 hours per week until March 2027
• Rota:
• A warm , creative, people-focused personality
• To be confident outgoing, bubbly and able to work on your own and with the team and residents, organise activities and think of new ideas
• You do not necessarily have to of had experience in this role, however this is a Dementia care home, so you will also need to have an understanding of Dementia care
