Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Activities Coordinator for a maternity cover at Victory Care Home in Chatham. You will design engaging activities, lead games, crafts and quizzes, arrange visits, and bring energy, creativity and gentle encouragement to residents, including those living with dementia.

This role offers funded training up to QCF Level 5, on-demand pay, a company pension and the satisfaction of making daily life meaningful for residents.

Qualifications

• A warm, creative, people-focused personality.
• Able to plan engaging activities, games, crafts & one-to-one moments.
• Confident, outgoing, bubbly and able to work with teams and residents, organise activities and think of new ideas.
• Understanding of dementia care is beneficial in a dementia care home.

You’ll create joyful moments for residents through fun, laughter, and creativity.

How you’ll make a difference

• Bring energy, creativity and fun into daily life for our residents
• Plan engaging activities, games, quizzes, crafts & one-to-one moments
• Organise events like BBQs and Christmas parties
• Arrange visits from entertainers & local businesses
• Support movement and independence through fun physical activities
• Lead social outings and in-home activities for all abilities

All you need is

• A minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK
• Maternity cover with the availability to commit to 30 hours per week until March 2027
• Rota: Week 1: Monday 9-5, Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 9-5, Friday 10-4; Week 2: Wednesday 9-5, Friday 10-4, Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-5
• A warm, creative, people-focused personality
• To be confident, outgoing, bubbly and able to work on your own and with the team and residents, organise activities and think of new ideas
• You do not necessarily have to have experience in this role, however this is a Dementia care home, so you will also need to have an understanding of Dementia care
