Job summary

Chandlers Ford Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through person-centred activities, promoting wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests and care needs, including those living with dementia, working with a supportive team in a warm home environment.

Training is provided, and there are opportunities for development within Care Concern Group.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and support participation for all residents, including those living with dementia.
• Work as part of a wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment where residents feel valued, active and connected.
• Open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
