Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust in Grantham is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and run a varied programme of activities for residents in our Grantham home. You will tailor activities to individual needs, promote independence, and help residents stay engaged in meaningful pursuits.

You’ll work closely with a caring team to deliver a warm, welcoming atmosphere, encouraging community involvement and ensuring residents enjoy a high quality of life in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating, organising and delivering events or working with elderly people in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver an ongoing programme of activities and events that engage residents, promote independence and meet individual needs.
• Get to know residents, discover what they love to do, and create new memories with them.
• Work with other team members who are passionate about care, warmth and kindness within the homes.
• Encourage relatives and friends to participate in activities and events and involve the local community when appropriate.
