Job summary

Care Concern Group, at Lauren Court Care Home in Blacon, Chester, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver a varied, person-centred activities programme for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will engage with residents to understand preferences, tailor activities to abilities, and foster social interaction within a supportive team setting. A training and development path is provided to help you grow in the role.

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia. Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply

• 13.45- 13.95 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
