Job summary

Sandstone Care Group's Burscough Manor Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver a varied programme of activities for residents, aiming to bring enjoyment and purpose.

You will plan events, support outings, foster relationships with residents and families, and promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction, with flexibility for weekday/weekend activities.

Qualifications

  • Planning and delivering activities to engage residents.
  • Ability to coordinate events and promote participation.
  • Experience in activities, care, hospitality or working with older people is desirable but not essential.

Job description

Activities Coordinator. Burscough Manor Care Home
  • Pay Rate: £12.88 per hour
  • Contract: 37.5 hours per week (5 shifts)
  • Shifts: 9am-5pm but some flexibility required for planned activities for residents

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to deliver meaningful activities and help make every day enjoyable for our residents.

At Burscough Manor, you'll play a key role in helping residents live life to the fullest, creating moments that bring enjoyment, purpose and connection every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities and events.
  • Encourage residents to take part in activities that reflect their hobbies, interests and preferences.
  • Organise games, arts & crafts, quizzes, exercise sessions and entertainment.
  • Support outings, celebrations and special events.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and the local community.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing and social interaction.

  • Friendly, outgoing and full of ideas.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
  • Creative, organised and able to use your own initiative.
  • A confident communicator who can engage and motivate others.
