Our small, friendly residential care home in High Wycombe is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to lead a vibrant program that enhances the wellbeing of our residents.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who loves working in a care home setting, bringing energy, compassion, and ideas to improve the quality of life for older people.
Plan and deliver daily group and one-to-one activities such as arts & crafts, music, games, gentle exercise, gardening, reminiscence sessions, and themed celebrations
Tailor activities to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents, including those living with dementia
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, mental stimulation, and emotional wellbeing
Develop a monthly activities calendar, involving residents in planning and feedback
Maintain records of resident participation and progress
Work closely with the care team, families, and local community to arrange events and visits
Encourage residents to maintain independence, build confidence, and enjoy a fulfilling daily routine
A warm, creative, and energetic personality with a passion for working with older adults
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in a care home, dementia care, or activity-based role (desirable)
Ability to plan and adapt person-centred activities
Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team
