About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities include planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents, assisting the Home Manager with organising fundraising events, and encouraging Residents to socialise and explore new hobbies. You will involve the care team to foster a supportive environment, always guided by kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably with a background in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, strong planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. Effective time management and considerate communication with Residents and colleagues are also important.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to act appropriately. All staff will receive safeguarding training relevant to their role and additional training as needed. You should feel confident seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalating issues if necessary.
