The Royal British Legion is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant for Maurice House Care Home in Broadstairs, Kent. You will create engaging activity programmes, get to know residents, and work with families to tailor experiences that reflect individual needs.
A Level 2 Social Care award is advantageous, with a focus on companionship and enabling residents to stay active. Role is 18 hours per week, with shifts across seven days.
We are looking for a part‑time Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team at Maurice House Care Home in Broadstairs, Kent.

As an Activities Assistant, you’ll help create a warm, engaging and enjoyable environment where residents can take part in activities, social events and experiences that reflect their interests, abilities and individual needs.

You’ll work closely with colleagues and relatives to understand what matters to each resident, helping to create opportunities for them to stay active, connected and involved.

This is a part‑time, permanent role for 18 hours per week, with shifts over seven days.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll need to be a patient, empathetic and good listener, with the communication skills to build positive relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with different needs. Previous experience in a similar role or environment is important.
If you have, or are willing to work towards, a Level 2 Award in Supporting Provision in Social Care, that would be an advantage.
