Job summary

Pilgrims' Friend Society's Bridgemead Home in Bath is seeking a full-time caregiver to support residents with dementia and enable a fulfilling lifestyle.

You will engage with local churches, organise events, lead volunteers and develop monthly activities, while building strong links with families and the wider community. A Christian faith is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be evangelical Christians (This role has an Occupational Requirement to be filled by a Christian under the provisions of the Equality Act (2010).)

Responsibilities

• Engaging with local Churches via regular Newsletters
• Visiting and presenting to the community and local churches
• Building relationships with local ministers, pastors, vicars
• Organising events and outings for residents
• Leading a team of volunteers
• Creating monthly activities for residents
• Co-ordinating activities for family members
• Organising community coffee mornings and open days
• Additional duties as required
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

Key responsibilities

• Creating monthly activities for residents;
• Co-ordinating and facilitating activities for the family members that will be stimulating and creative;
• Engaging with the wider community by organising community coffee mornings, Summer Fayres, open days etc
• Additional duties when required.

Hours: Full-time contract: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend work.

Bridgemead Home is a 32-bed residential care home by the river in central Bath. The health, well-being and happiness of our residents is of primary importance to us. The home cares for those who live with dementia and respite care in Bath. Our vision is to empower our residents to live fulfilled lives and flourish in later years.
