Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting for a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Bromsgrove. This fixed term contract for 10 months offers 30 hours per week, with Saturday and Sunday work on a rotating schedule; 8:00–15:30 shifts across five days in seven. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, building relationships with customers.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. A full UK manual driving licence (with up to 6 penalty points) and the ability to pass a

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, stairs/hills, lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated and well organised
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in local area
• Build relationships with customers while delivering items
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Deliver high volumes, including exam results, birthday cards and business orders
