Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Liverpool is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term contract for 9 months. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

This role offers rotating shifts, 37 hours weekly across mornings and evenings, with Sundays at Bootle/Seaforth and a 7am-8pm window. Full training provided, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
