Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Rochester is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term contract for 6 months. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers on a rotating shift, including weekends.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, and pass a driving assessment. Training and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willing to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work outdoors.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
