Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Sandown for a fixed-term role of 6 months. You will work 30 hours per week over 5 days in 7, across 10:00-20:00, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot.

Training provided, uniform supplied, and you’ll work outdoors in all weather with a rotating shift. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, the ability to pass a driving assessment, and a reliable, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walking distances and lifting mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
