Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Pontyclun is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels in Pontyclun.

This fixed-term 6-month role is 30 hours per week on a rotating shift, including some weekends and one in four Sundays at Pontypridd Delivery Office.

We’ll provide full training, a uniform and an iconic red van, and you’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) and be prepared to drive the RM van daily in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work outdoors.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
