Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Glenrothes to sort and deliver letters and parcels, building relationships with customers. You will work outdoors, on a rotating schedule, with weekends and variable routes as demand dictates.

The role includes 30 hours per week, a fixed 9-month term, and a salary of £13.68 per hour plus paid overtime. Training and a uniform are provided; you’ll drive a Royal Mail van daily.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and communities.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
