Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Darlington is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our delivery office team. You will deliver letters and parcels in your local area by van and on foot, building relationships with customers and working outdoors in all weather.

This permanent role offers 30 hours per week on a rotating shift, including Sundays, with a rate of £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) plus paid overtime.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
