Job summary

Royal Mail in Rugby seeks a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels in the local area. You will work a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends, for a fixed-term contract of 12 months with 35 hours per week.

You’ll receive full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van. The role is outdoor and physically demanding, requiring long walking distances and driving across all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
