Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Chorley to deliver letters and parcels in the local area. The role includes rotating shifts, weekends on a rota, and required to work outdoors in all weather. You will receive full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van to start.

The position is permanent, with 30 hours per week and a shift pattern from 08:30 to 15:30 or 14:30 to 20:30, across five days in seven. Sundays may be required on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
