Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Chester, delivering letters and parcels on a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role involves an active, outdoors-based schedule with a rotating shift, including Sundays, and requires a full manual UK driving licence with a driving assessment.

You'll work around 30 hours per week, with overtime paid and a 14:00–20:00 shift window. Training, uniform, and a branded van are provided, alongside a benefits package and pension support.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
