Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) at the Bury Delivery Office. The role is a fixed-term contract for 9 months, paying £13.68 per hour with paid overtime and 30 hours per week, including weekends.

Training and a uniform are provided, with a focus on delivering letters and parcels in the Bury area. You will work on a rotating shift schedule across Monday to Sunday, with routes and hours confirmed in your rota.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit for long walks and lifting mailbags

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers
