Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Tewkesbury. The role involves delivering letters and parcels, 37 hours per week across Monday to Sunday with rotating shifts and occasional Sundays at Cheltenham. Training is provided and a full manual UK driving licence is required.

You'll work outdoors in all weather, meet customers, and follow a rotating rota that may change with demand. The job offers paid overtime and a structured, active daily routine in the community.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence is required with up to 6 points.
• Must be willing to drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and carry mailbags.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently under time pressure.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and provide great service.
