Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Chipping Norton is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a 37-hour week, with paid overtime and a rotating shift including weekends. You’ll be trained, issued a uniform, and operate a red Royal Mail van on your route.

Applicants must hold a full manual UK driving licence (6 points max) and be physically capable of long walks, lifting mailbags, and working outdoors in all conditions.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift/mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weather.
• Manage a rotating shift including weekends and Sundays.
