Job summary

Royal Mail in Guildford is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift. You’ll work 37 hours per week across five days in seven, with early starts and weekend work. A full manual UK driving licence is required, and you’ll need to pass a driving assessment.

Training and a uniform are provided. Working outdoors in all weather, you’ll help customers in your community, enjoy a structured routine, and earn overtime pay.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, stairs/hills, and lifting mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
