Job summary

Royal Mail Leigh Delivery Office is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels in Leigh. The role is fixed-term for 6 months with 30 hours per week on a rotating Monday-Sunday schedule.

You’ll walk and drive a Royal Mail van, work outdoors in all weathers, and build relationships with customers while staying active and connected to the community. Full training, a uniform, and a supportive team are provided; overtime is paid, and benefits include pension and

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
