Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Leigh is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 6 months. The role involves delivering letters and parcels, sorting at the delivery office, and working outdoors in all weather.

You will rotate shifts, including Sundays, with a 30-hour week and a £13.68 hourly rate. Full training provided; you must hold a full manual UK driving licence and be able to pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances outdoors
• Reliable and self-motivated with good organisation

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area
