Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Godalming to deliver letters and parcels on a 30‑hour weekly rota, across Monday to Sunday. You will work outdoors in all weathers, starting early and finishing mid‑late afternoon, with paid overtime and a monthly salary based on hourly pay.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, driving a Royal Mail van daily, physical stamina for long walks, and a commitment to excellent customer service in the community.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self‑motivated in a busy environment
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
