Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Chesham is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in Chesham, using a Royal Mail van and on foot, across a 30-hour week with a rotating shift pattern.

Role requires a full UK driving licence, physical fitness, and the ability to work outdoors on varied routes. Training, a uniform, and a red van are provided; weekend work and some overtime are possible.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
