Job summary

Royal Mail in Ivybridge is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term contract for 9 months. The role is 37 hours per week across five days in seven, with shifts 07:00–15:00 and some weekend work. You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area, building strong relationships with customers.

Full training is provided, along with a uniform and a Royal Mail van. A full UK manual driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) and the ability to pass a driving

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities
