Job summary

Royal Mail in South Molton is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver letters and parcels across the local area, working 37 hours per week on a rotating shift, including weekends.

A full manual UK driving licence is required, and you will be trained and provided with a red van and uniform. The role is outdoors, physical, with overtime and benefits such as 22.5 days holiday (rising with service), pension and wellbeing support, and discounts.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities
