Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Runcorn is seeking a part-time Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term basis for 6 months. Hourly rate £13.68 with overtime, 30 hours per week across Mon-Sun 09:00–15:00. Role involves delivering letters and parcels, outdoor work, and rotating shifts with some weekend work.

Full training provided and a uniform supplied. You'll walk long distances, drive a Royal Mail van daily, and serve the community while maintaining reliability, independence, and strong

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (maximum 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with good organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service and comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
