Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking an enthusiastic Active Design Officer to help shape neighbourhoods where walking, cycling and physical activity are part of everyday life. You’ll work across Bentilee, Meir, Abbey Hulton and Burslem with Planning, Transport, Public Health and partners to promote active travel and access to green/blue spaces.

The role requires knowledge of active design and partnership working across planning, transport and public health, with a focus on delivering practical

Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience of active design, planning, transport, regeneration, public health or community development.
• Strong partnership-working, communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and turn ideas into positive outcomes for communities.

Responsabilités

• Support the integration of active design principles into planning, transport, regeneration and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with Planning, Transport, Public Health and community partners to promote walking and cycling.
• Support development of accessible blue/green spaces and active travel routes across neighbourhoods.
• Align transport/infrastructure investment with council priorities and Sport England objectives.
• Engage with residents and stakeholders to support community-led improvements encouraging activity.
• Provide advice and recommendations to inform project planning and investment decisions.
