Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Stanford Le Hope is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels in the local area. You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends, with a 37-hour week and 07:00-15:00 listed, and you’ll receive training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van.

The role combines outdoor work with customer service and offers pension and wellbeing support, plus discounts and family-friendly policies.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points, in current name/address).
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
