Job summary

Royal Mail in Belfast is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels across the local area, on a rotating schedule, 5 days in 6.

You will walk and drive, work outdoors in all weathers, and build relationships with customers while handling and delivering high volumes.

Full training provided, uniform and a red van; a full manual UK driving licence required with up to 6 penalty points.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated and organised
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
