Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Penrith is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a permanent contract, 30 hours per week across Monday to Sunday. You will sort mail, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather. Rotating shifts and Sundays on a rota basis are expected.

The role offers full training, a uniform, and the chance to be part of a trusted postal service with community impact.

Qualifications

• Valid full manual UK driving licence.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
