Job summary

Angard Recruitment is seeking flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers to join the Royal Mail team. You will deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, combining driving with on-foot delivery where required.

This role rewards reliability and a strong work ethic with varied shifts and competitive pay rates, including fast scheduling and opportunities to stay active in the community. You’ll be driving a Royal Mail van and may be required to pass a driving assessment on joining.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route and provide exceptional service.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
