Job summary

Royal Mail seeks a Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels in your community, combining driving with on-foot delivery to complete routes while providing outstanding service in all weathers. You’ll handle items safely and meet standards for delicate deliveries, including election materials.

You will be expected to adapt to varying shifts, pass a driving assessment on starting, and stay active through the day as the face of Royal Mail in your locality.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, come rain or shine.
• Drive your delivery area and complete parts of your route on foot.
• securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and certain items (food products or alcohol) in line with standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at start and maintain safety on the job.
• Be the face of Royal Mail and provide exceptional service daily.
