Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible postal delivery drivers in a temporary capacity. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels while staying active throughout the day.

Shifts vary and include Day, Dawn, Early, Evening, Late and Night options with competitive hourly rates. A full UK driving licence is required and you’ll need to be comfortable walking long distances as part of your route.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of the van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require team flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as a Royal Mail Post Person with Driving.
• Drive your delivery area and complete parts of the route on foot while providing excellent service.
• Handle and deliver items in line with Royal Mail standards, including election materials and sensitive items.
