Job summary
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join a Reading-based team. You will design and draft detailed drawings using AutoCAD, with BricsCAD experience preferred, and ensure designs meet project specs. This office-based role involves site visits, collaboration with project teams, and uploading drawings to Procore/Asite. A CSCS card and a keen eye for detail are essential. Competitive salary (£30,000–£45,000) and benefits offered.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Construction Industry Subcontractor or Mechanical/Building Services Engineering role (or similar).
Proficiency in AutoCAD; BricsCAD experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with noise control products, sheet metal fabrication, and architectural louvres is advantageous.
Experience with platforms such as Procore and Asite is a plus.
A CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Designing and drafting technical drawings for various projects.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Attending site visits to gather information and ensure designs align with on-site conditions.
Managing and organising design files to ensure they are accessible and up-to-date.
Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in design software and techniques.
