Job summary

East Park Primary School is seeking a motivated Achievement Support Assistant to join a hardworking staff team. The role is 21.5 hours per week during term time, with a permanent contract and an actual salary of £13,324 - £13,753 per year.

You will support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, promote positive behaviour, and help with Individual Education/Behaviour Plans as needed. Visits to the school are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
• Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
• Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
• Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
• Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
