Job summary

Horizon Academy Trust seeks an Achievement Support Assistant to join a dedicated staff team at Cleeve Primary School. The role focuses on supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, and promoting positive behaviour and self-esteem.

You will work under guidance to maximise attainment, contribute to IEP/Behaviour Plan initiatives, and provide regular feedback to teaching staff to inform progress and well-being.

Qualifications

Experience in supporting pupils with academic, social and emotional development.
Ability to promote self-esteem and independence among pupils.
Understanding of school procedures for safeguarding and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Set challenging expectations and promote pupil self-esteem and independence.
Promote good pupil behaviour and address conflicts per school procedures.
Support academic, social, emotional and developmental progress for individuals and groups.
Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate progress.
Assist with development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care when needed.
Provide detailed feedback to teachers on pupil attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes.
