Job summary

St John of Beverley Catholic Primary School - a Catholic voluntary academy is seeking an enthusiastic Achievement Support Assistant (L2 TA) to join their team, focusing on supporting vulnerable pupils including those with SEND. 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 2 training days, across the school to support teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will support staff with children's social, emotional and academic progress, deliver interventions, and supervise pupils at various times

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils including those with SEND.
• Experience in supporting phonics is desirable.

Job description

The Directors of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, and highly motivated Achievement Support Assistant (L2 TA) to work as part of the team at St John of Beverley VC Academy supporting teaching and learning with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable pupils including those with SEND.

32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 2 training days.

The successful candidate will work across the school giving appropriate support for pupils of all abilities, some of whom have SEND. You will support teaching staff with the children’s social, emotional and academic progress, delivering interventions to enhance pupils learning and provide supervision and care of children at various times of the day.

The successful candidate may:

• Have experience in supporting the teaching of Phonics
