Job Description:

Polar Speed, a UPS company, is a logistics company and innovative provider of temperature-sensitive transportation and pharmaceutical supply chain solutions in the UK.

Role: Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician

Location: Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, 7 Chartmoor Road, Site 1 Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 4WG

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Polar Speed has a reputation for quality, compliance, operational and customer-facing technology and monitoring solutions in the growing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical logistics market in the UK. The company specializes in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers, medical care surgeries, and end patients through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the world's most well-known pharmaceutical brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate final checking on homecare prescriptions within the in-house pharmacy.
  • Assist Responsible Pharmacists with technical dispensing tasks.
  • Ensure all activities comply with GPhC standards, SOPs, and legal requirements.
  • Participate in performance audits and support the training of the pharmacy team.
  • Maintain quality management, health and safety, COSHH, and environmental policies.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services Skills (essential)
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Additional Information:

  • Work hours are 08:00 to 18:00, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
