Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy (Phoenix Medical Supplies) in Almondbury, Huddersfield seeks an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join a dedicated team. This part-time role offers 10.5 hours weekly, with shifts on Tuesday and Saturday, focusing on accurate dispensing and patient safety.

You will participate in dispensing, check medication orders, maintain records, and support stock control while delivering friendly customer service and professional healthcare guidance.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• NVQ3 and the Final Accuracy Checking Qualification completed.
• Previous experience in a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire dispensing process.
• Check and prepare medication orders.
• Ensure accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers and healthcare professionals.
• Deliver courteous and effective customer service.
• Complete and maintain accurate administrative records.
• Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment.
• Receive, store and issue medications and other supplies.
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Provide healthcare advice and signpost customers to appropriate resources.

What your working day will look like;

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have an NVQ3 and have completed the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services. If you are unable to provide us with your Certificate for the FINAL ACCURACY CHECKING QUALIFICATION, your application will be rejected at this stage.
