Job summary

Rowlands Weymouth is seeking an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. You will participate in the dispensing process, check medication orders, and help ensure accuracy and safety in pharmaceutical handling.

This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:30–18:00 with a 1-hour lunch, paid at £13.02 per hour. GPhC registration and NVQ3 are required, with final accuracy checking qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the GPhC and hold an NVQ3.
• Completed accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services.
• Prior experience in a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the entire dispensing process.

• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals.
• Delivering courteous and effective customer service at all times.
• Complete and maintain accurate administrative records.

• Receive, store and issue medications and other supplies.
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Provide healthcare advice and signpost customers to appropriate resources when necessary.

To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have an NVQ3 and have completed the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services. If you are unable to provide us with your Certificate for the FINAL ACCURACY CHECKING QUALIFICATION. Your application will be rejected at this stage. Prior experience in a customer-focused environment is also required.
